MTN Partners TD Mobile To Introduce Freetel ICE 2 smartphone

A leading telecommunications company, MTN, has partnered TD Mobile, a sub-Saharan Africa’s mobile device distributor, to unveil an ICE 2 smartphone designed for the Nigerian market.

The phone was said to be one of the many devices produced by Freetel, Japan’s biggest smartphone brand, powered by Google’s latest Android operating system, Android 7.

According to a statement by MTN, the revolutionary ICE 2 comes fully equipped with the latest software and security updates including Google Play Protect, newly-developed software, which continuously works to keep one’s device, data and apps safe. They added that the smartphone was pre-loaded with MTN’s latest apps including MTN Music Plus.

The telecommunications company said, “Massive incentives await the first 200 subscribers to get Freetel ICE 2 devices. In addition, all customers who buy the device will enjoy double data bonus on every data bundle they buy for three months.

The Chief Marketing Officer, MTN, Rahul De, expressed himself in a statement; “We are excited by this partnership because our focus over the years has been on connecting millions of Nigerians to each other and the world, thus expanding access to information, entertainment and endless opportunities. The ICE 2 is affordable and innovative and will allow more Nigerians to make the transition to smartphones.
